DROP DOWN IRONING BOARD
The item arrived well packaged & ready to install. The iron rest was easy to reposition but when moved to the non default side (i.e. left looking at the closed board) it interfered with the raising mechanism & it should be extended before locking the board into place. The website offered 2 fixing options - timber frame & block. Neither really suited my situation as, although, I have a timber-frame house there was only one screw that I could use into timber (i.e. neither the timber uprights nor the horizontal timber frame conformed to the size & shape of the board) - so I supplied & fitted some large hollow wall fixings. The fitting instructions were sparse & could be improved; however, a competent DIYer should have no problems.

Delighted with my new ironing board. My dominant arm is very swollen and difficult to work with as I have lymphoedema following breast cancer surgery. it was such a pain putting up and taking down my old ironing board so I am thrilled with how easy this one is to work. very easy to install - very happy!!

The is a high quality properly engineered product. Every detail down to the thickness of the frame and the wood used to form the board are top quality. This product has obviously been well iterated.

So far so good
Ordering was easy. Delivery was on time. Instructions were clear. The only installation complaint I have is that the screws supplied for fixing the Ironing board to the stud (in the stud partition) were longer than any drill bit I could find, so I had to buy slightly shorter screws. The ironing board is very neat up or down, and looks wery well engineered. I haven't used it long enough to know if it is going to stay fixed to the wall over the long term which would be my only concern. If it does then the fact that it is not particularly cheap is justified!

Exactly what we needed
We had decorated and re-arranged our bedroom. Normally a full size ironing board was a permanent feature of the bedroom, but really got in the way. Now we are retired, with less need for daily ironing we wanted to get rid of the board but still be able to freshen up the occasional item. I was going to make a fold ot ironing board myself to fit on the side of a chest of drawers, but supporting it properly was proving to be a bit messy. This board was not only the exact size that we needed but the clever hinged bracket sorts out the support problem superbly.
